Commonwealth Bank's School Banking program

More information about this program can be found at the below link:

http://www.commbank.com.au/personal/youth-students/school-banking.html

Our School banking day is Tuesday. Children who have a Commonwealth Bank Youthsaver account can bank at school. The program aims to encourage good saving behaviour whilst also providing a fundraising opportunity for the school. Strathfield South Public School receives a commission for every account activated via the School Banking program, and for each subsequent individual deposit made at school.

Volunteers are needed to assist on Tuesday mornings:

We are always looking for parent volunteers to help with the processing of the student's deposits on a Tuesday. If you are able to help out, please contact the P&C's School Banking Coordinator through the school office.

For any student who would like to get involved with the Commonwealth Bank's Student Banking program, please collect a Parent Pack from the school's office, which will provide all the information you need to know to get your child set off on their savings adventure. The School Banking program is designed to encourage children to get into the habit of making regular savings no matter how small the deposit is. Not only is it a great fundraiser for the school, but for every deposit, the school received $5 for every account activated via the program and 5% of every deposit made at school (up to a maximum of $10 commission per individual deposit).

Student Banking would appreciate it if parents could please ensure that their child's deposit slips are filled out and in the correct manner, and that the money is secured in the sealed section of your child's document wallet. It is also important to note that you do not submit any foreign coins as the bank does not accept them. New deposit books are issued to students when their old book has been finalised as well as the yellow document wallets if damaged.

We are always looking for volunteers to assist with school banking. The energy and commitment that the volunteers bring does play a vital role in the success of the program. We meet in the office foyer every Tuesday morning at 9.15am. It is a wonderful thing to be able to get involved with your child's school and a fabulous opportunity to meet other parents.

Reward items available to order are the 3D Chalk Set, Colour Change Markers, Cyber Handball, Outback Pat Bag Tag and the Tablet Case. It is important to note that reward items allocated for Terms 3 and 4 cannot be ordered until that term starts.

We would like to thank you for your continued support in making this program successful.
