Active Learners in KG, Where Everyone Belongs!
KG students have settled into school life at SSPS as safe, respectful and active learners. We celebrated our first week at school by making colourful hats and last week we celebrated our 35th day at school! In KG, we have already hit significant learning milestones; working on reading, writing, learning sight words, letters and sounds, counting 1-20 and making new friends. We have also been learning about the seasons in Science by using our five senses.
We have shared special celebrations together. We celebrated International Women’s Day by talking about the female role model’s in our lives and we celebrated why they are special. Also last Thursday, KG celebrated Harmony Day. First we painted our hands with primary colours, gave a high five to a partner then observed to see what colours we could make. We talked about our differences that make us special and similarities that unite us. Everyone certainly belongs in KG!
