Each year the staff at SSPS participate Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) first aid training. Some community members have indicated that they would be interested in completing this training.
If there is enough interest, the school is willing to organise the Royal Life Saving Society - NSW Branch to train a parent and community group. The details of online and face-to-face training are below:
SSPS will organise a non-accredited award - the term 'non-accredited' often throws people, but this just means that there is not a formal unit associated with the course. The certificate is valid for 12 months.
We are offering you the chance to complete a Resuscitation Course – Online + Assessment
- Online learning prior to course and then 1 hour in duration practical assessment
- $25.00 per head + shared participant trainer fee (no minimum participants required)
Where? ….at Strathfield South Public School
When? …..early Term 1 2019, either at 9am or 2pm for the face to face training
Who? ……SSPS parents will take priority but community interest is encouraged should we have space, so share with your family members and friends
