Welcome back families and students to Term 4. We’ve hit the ground running today with lots of events and excursions ahead for this term so please keep reading The Scene each week to keep up to date with all the news.
We continue Term 4 with a strong focus on learning and refining our reflective practices in order for all students and staff to excel. Tomorrow evening all staff will be attending training after school in collaboration with the Wingara Community group of schools. Some of the areas that will be available for staff to attend are Literacy through Drama – collaboration with the Sydney Theatre Company, National Music teachers mentoring program – Arts Units, STEM – IT Directorate, Literacy and Numeracy Progressions and the Geography Syllabus. Training will be from 3:30pm – 6:30pm at Marie Bashir Public School.
A reminder to parents and carers that school hours begin at 8:30am. Please note that there is no supervision of students before this time.
IT’S TIME TO ENROL FOR 2019
If you have not done so already, it is time to enrol your child for Kindergarten 2019. We have commenced interviews for all ‘in area’ and ‘out of area’ students.
Spaces are LIMITED for ‘out of area’ enrolments for 2019, so please let friends, neighbours and relatives know to complete enrolment documentation immediately to be considered.
If you live ‘out of area’, but have siblings at our school already, you must complete the ‘out of area’ paperwork to be accepted for enrolment in 2019. Siblings have high consideration but the paperwork must be in order.
Our enrolment committee will meet in Term 4, to establish how many spaces K-6 we can offer, after local enrolments and ‘out of area’ siblings are accounted for. Please see the office for further details.
ENROL NOW!
